Ma Long is the Men's Singles Champion at the Qatar Open 2013 (VIDEO)

Last weekend, Ma Long was the Kuwait Open runner up losing to fellow team mate Zhang Jike by 4 sets to 1. This time around however, the Chinaman went one step further and won the 2013 Qatar Open ITTF World Tour! On Sunday the 24th February Ma Long defeated compatriot Yan An in an almighty seven sets to secure the Men's Singles title.

Ma Long eliminated his Chinese National team mate in a full seven sets with scores 11-9, 11-3, 10-12, 10-12, 9-11, 11-6, 11-9 to win his first World Tour Title of the year. This is Ma Long's 14th Men's Singles title at the ITTF World Tours. This final was not one of his easiest, as he faced a relentless, inform Yan An. Yan was using his backhand to full effect causing Ma Long lots of trouble. However Ma Long's experience and sheer forehand power and killer instinct, strove the world number 2 to victory.
