This is the fifth World Tour series of the year! The line up is extremely strong! Who do you think will win? Will Ma Long maintain momentum from the recent Qatar Open? What do you think of Liu Guoliang's new doubles idea whereby the Chinese stars mix and match with other nation members? Can the young guns of China including Yan An pose a threat in the draw? Can the Japanese, Korean players make their way through the events? European players including Adrien Mattenet, Kirill Skachkov and Emmanuel Lebesson will all be looking to cause some upsets!

We can use this thread as a means to display all the latest results, videos and news from this spectacular World Tour event! What are your predictions from each event.

What happened to the Chinese women players?

And any idea how the doubles are gong to communicate amongst one another? Same thing with the coaches. In fact, which coach will they be selecting to coach the players?

For the banner:
Did you get the flag right?
I dont think South and North korea will combine to open a tournament, if I know them South Korea will be the only one hosting the competition.
North Koreans basically hardly have an idea of what the outside world is like, well its quite rare, this is due to the control over the country

The first time I saw it I thought it was just a North Korean Flag and I was laughing so hard, I thought it was an April fools joke.

Exactly what I had in mind :) If JSH and Ma Long were pairing then I would have voted on them. It could be so mean to see the worlds best at defensive and offensive play together. :)

Has the ITTF been hacked?

Don't think so. Somehow there was a link on the Korean Open page which refreshed the page, but allowed anyone to edit links and titles. About 30mins later the ITTF set all events pages offline to repair them.

ZHANG Jike vs. YAN An tomorrow. Probably gonna be one of the most exiting matches among the other seven. Hey TTLondon2012 and H4kS3IR

at first I want to thank you for your hard work. Summarizing the matches is very nice! So I can understand that you want to get some views ;)

But you post that often that it kills the conversation about the tournament. You can't follow it anymore and the thread is a little bit lagging (at least at my laptop, other threads are fine)
As a result, it's no fun to read or write in the tournament threads.

How we can solve the problem:

Maybe you can put all videos in one post? (edit-function)
Or we create a new thread for videos only?

Arghh! What a waste from Jike, leading 10-6 in seventh and in the end lost 11-13 to Yan An. Also, its just plain STUPID two previous matches had ended but still ITTV didn't change the camera view, all I could do was make do with the chos and cheering from the crowds to have a rough estimate on how the match was going. Live scores were kinda helpful but a little delayed.

Still, congratulations to Yan An, I have a good feeling he'll win this one or at least enter the finals with Ma Long. What a shame ZJK had to face him rather early in the tournament, this time and even at Qatar. :(

i really hate a match between YA and ML because both of the are power players and 2 seconds after start of a rally it ends . this kind of game is really bad because in rallies there is no time to think aand this make the game ugly.

Wow, just watched Jun Mizutani vs Xu Xin! Fantastic match! What I love about the Korean Open is the crowd! They are amazing! Always cheering and clapping!
I was one of them who cheer so loudly for all the games haha

the next time the worlds is in south korea will be awesome! the crowd will be loving it!

shame none of the korean men could win through to the finl day, but the doubles will be interesting, plus the womens doubles is an all korean final so the crowd will be happy :P and seo hyo won seems to be playing well, hopefully she will beat lee ho ching and give the crowd something to cheer about, especially as lee beat seok ha jung today...:P

its always a good tournament, one of the best on the circuit i think :)

Ma Long is in crazy form at the moment! It seems his backhand has improved, he looks very comfortable when playing. Ryu always impresses me, his footwork is relentless!

Totally agree! The Korean audience is the best I have ever heard! A loud atmosphere will help bring the players level up and it looks better for the sport :)

Yeah, but again Mizutani didn't win. Always when I watch Mizutani, I think:"Oh no, don't play the ball in the forehand; Now use this serve;Flick the ball..."
I always ask myself whether I'm tactically better than Mizutani?

Well I think mizutani has got a lot of supporters (me too) the way he play is really nice. But I never seen Him wining with somebody top 10. It is not that he is poorer but he just make a lot of stupid mistakes.

Me thinking Xu Xin won't let it go this time like in Quwait and is going to win this time and get to the finals with Ma Long. Yan An might beat him with his very fast game but away from the table Xu Xin outmatches him because of more powerful looping.

A pity for Ma Long. Lee Jung Woo seemed too tense. Lost a couple of points due to service errors and it sealed the fate of the Ma Long-Lee Jung Woo pair.

Don't know how the point system works but the difference is only 10 points now so I believe a Pro Tour win should worth more than that.

BTW it is quite surprise to see only RSM reach the final stages while all the new generation Korean players got eliminated in the early rounds. Way to go Ryu!

For Ma Long is good to lose to Xu Xin now.. ;)
I know he knows what he was doing..
First two games he was really poor because of his bat - you can see he changed it after the second game and then he played lot better..
But now when he lost, he can (and he will) learn from it and he wont let that happen if they meet in Paris.

i hop ZJK wins it but i think ML or XX will win the titles because of poor performance of ZJK in this months.

It's nice to see such a good coverage of a table tennis event especially events like this World Tour. Although videos are sometimes limited to famous players' matches, (but then I can't deny the fact that top players are always wonderful and entertaining to watch :).. I hope TTD will continue to provide these types of coverage for table tennis events.. Continue your excellence!:)

Ma Long changed his bat after the first two sets of the final. He seemed to be indicating that the sponge was not fixed correctly to the blade.

You can't see it in the edited videos at all, but you can see it in the ITTV video of the final about 16:05 to 16:30.

I was there so had a better view.
